Togetherness Table is an innovative and interactive game developed by CYC (ComMutiny – The Youth Collective) with the goal of promoting mental well-being, emotional expression, and deeper interpersonal connections among young people. Recognizing the growing need to address mental health concerns in a relatable and engaging way, this game was designed to foster open conversations, build empathy, and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, especially in youth communities.
As part of this initiative, we facilitated Togetherness Table sessions with over 200 youth from diverse institutions, including Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ambedkar University, and Awadh Girls’ Degree College. These sessions created safe and inclusive spaces where participants could express their emotions freely, reflect on their personal experiences, and build stronger connections with peers through guided questions and storytelling prompts included in the game.
The game’s structure encourages active listening, emotional sharing, and mutual respect—essential components for mental and emotional well-being. Through meaningful dialogue and group activities, participants explored themes such as stress, self-worth, relationships, and coping strategies in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
The impact of these sessions was evident in the openness, trust, and solidarity that emerged among participants. Togetherness Table proved to be a powerful tool not just for raising awareness around mental health but also for building a sense of community and emotional resilience among youth.
